Juan D. Gaia M.D. began his medical career at the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, Facultad De Ciencias Medicas in Argentina and completed his residencies in diagnostic radiology with the Harrisburg Hospital in PA and radiological pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington, D.C. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology, licensed as a medical physician by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of State and holds a certification for the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates. Juan is an active member in the following professional organizations:

• Luzerne County Medical Society (President 1991-1992)
• Pennsylvania Medical Society
• American Medical Association
• American College of Radiology
• Pennsylvania Radiological Society
• Northeastern Pennsylvania Radiological Society
• American College of Angiology

In addition, he served as Physician Delegate (1988) for the United Way of Wyoming Valley and as medical advisor for the Wilkes University board of education. With over 30 years of experience, he leads a highly specialized veteran staff at Valley Open MRI & Diagnostic Center and is considered a visionary by his peers.

Dr. Gaia makes the Wyoming Valley his home and resides in Dallas.
